Need to change forgotten Xbox one password

We understand that, onyx2is suggested he change the password because he has forgotten it. You need to get your friend to sort it out, its his email address. Once he sorts out the password you can then change the WLID on the account to one of your email addresses.

If your son has forgotten his own password, I would just change his Microsoft account password online:

https://account.microsoft.com/security

You can't access the account with a simple password change, if you don't have the correct data to verify your identity and have forgotten the original password. The #3 procedure above is for use only if all of your proofs are

If you have forgotten the email for your account you'll need to call phone support. So long as you can answer some account specific questions they will give you the email for the account. If you have forgotten the password as well then you can change it
after getting the email.
