    Hi,

    Got a message to say my credit card has been rejected on xbox live. This is a godsend, as based on my experience searching for this past few minutes, it seems to be the only way to cancel. Can't find an email address to contact about this, and the email
    address they contacted me on takes no replies. For those who worry about robots doing everything in future or foreign call centres, it surely can't get any worse than this level of "service". I have a policy of only having subscriptions that are easy to cancel.
    My business is lost to microsoft now (I may or may not buy a PS4 instead but will certainly not carry out my planned Xbox One purchase now) but if they can resolve this quickly and easily and in some way that makes up for the atrocious service level so far,
    we will see in future.

    Please cancel my subscription with immediate effect and stop sending me emails asking for my credit card details, thank you.

    Silver Cancellation!

    I don't think you need to cancel silver accounts, there's really nothing to cancel as you aren't paying for any services.

    I know now that it has changed so I need to put in a credit card but If i want to cancel my account will I need to phone up?

    and it's never-ending... they say they can't cancel it as they do not have the option to cancel it and need to contact the subscription provider. you say they need to cancel, but Microsoft is taking money from the account. As a subscription provider, you need to allow me to cancel it according to the UE law. I am not asking for a refund I'm asking for canceling the subscription

    There is a charge on my credit card that is a Microsoft subscription that I did not authorize, and is not associated with my Microsoft account. I need to cancel that, and I haven’t found anyone to speak to about that.
    If the charge isnt appearing on your own Microsoft account then the only option would be to have your bank block the charges because cancelling/refunding the charges from the Microsoft end would require having access to the account that the charges are originating from.

    I understand that you want to cancel a subscription on your account, you can do so by following these steps to do it through an Xbox console:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
    3. Choose the subscription you want to manage, then follow the steps to cancel. If you meet the requirements, you will be asked to start the refund process for your subscription.

    If it is through a Web browser you can access the following page: https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and there select Services and Subscriptions then manage and there you can cancel your subscription that you have active in the account.

    If you do not have access to the account or have any problem canceling the subscription, you should contact Support directly so that they can provide you with better help regarding this problem.
