Need to buy Minecraft again after migration?

I have not played Minecraft in a few years but decided to come back to see what had changed. That is when I hear about the migration that is happening. After successfully migrating my account, it now tells me that I need to buy the game again, but when I go to try and pay for the game again, it just tells me that I only need to download that game back. It has done this a few times and it is just a big circle. I emailed Minecraft for help and he sent me the link to come here and ask my questions. I know that I logged into my Microsoft account instead of my Mojang account like I was instructed and that did not help. If there is something I missed please let me know. I will even include pictures that may help.

Is this a question? If you have to buy it again, it's probably more like $27.90 than $279. You shouldn't have to buy it again. The problem I encountered is that the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft was not able to connect to the Internet for some reason. Because it could not connect to the Internet, the account I purchased could not be associated with my login credentials. The solution for me, was to download and use the Windows 7/8 launcher instead of the Windows 10 launcher. For whatever reason, that version of the launcher was able to connect to the Internet, and therefore to verify and associate my previously purchased account.

Yes. Download the Windows 7/8 launcher, instead of the Windows 10 launcher. Then it will be able to connect to the Internet.

Did you find anything or somehow fixed it beacuse i have the same problem and i dont know what should i do. Its been a week since i migrated but nothing has helped me so far, for the most people its either the problem has fixed itself somehow and they were able to play or there isnt written a solution at all.

For me it opens up the Launcher recognizing my minecraft name but for the Java version (which I previously owned under Majong) it says I can PLAY DEMO. For the Minecraft for Windows it says I can PLAY TRIAL. But I already own Minecraft.

Hello. I had the same problem for a while to and it made me really mad. I realized that after your migration all you need to do is type in your computer," How do I migrate my Mojang account to Microsoft" and then you go to the Minecraft website thing that comes up and do the migration officially again. This made it (for me) so that I could play Minecraft after doing the migration again. That's all you have to do! (I don't know if this works only with me for some reason but I hope it does)

P.S. I think it's like this because you didn't migrate your account officially (like me) so it's not hocked to your Mojang account. Hope this works for you!
