Need some help getting open NAT with new modem & router

I recently purchased a new router & modem because it was time for an upgrade & my modem apparently had a bult in router causing a double NAT.

Everything seemed to work fine without any additional configurations & my NAT was open & seemed like I was able to play online for the most part. Lately though, I've been having some issues with lag, disconnects & also my NAT is now Moderate. I did a multiplayer
test with the detailed info and this is what it said:

Download speed: 8.26 Mbps (usually it's much closer to 10)

Upload speed: .74 Mbps (usually it's much closer to 1)

Packet loss: 100%

MTU: 1480

Latency: Does not show anything

Detailed NAT information: Your network is behind a port-restricted NAT

Status code: 0x4 followed by a ton of 0s.

Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Again, I haven't done any tinkering with my network settings on either the modem, router or Xbox since I got the new pieces of hardware. Everything seemed to be fine, so I assumed I was OK.

Your network is behind port restricted NAT

They have slower internet and you are wondering why your connection is slower?

Depends on the router on how to disable NAT or make NAT less intense. We will need your service provider (at the place that has restrictive NAT) and the router they have.

Those will help us reconfigure a router / modem with different nat settings.

 

April Update Available for everyone, but missing two features

Try unplugging both the modem/router and the X1 for a few minutes. Should cause it to switch over to an open nat type.

 

I haven't, no. I'll be honest I'm not really familiar with setting that up.

 

You have to go onto your routers page. Find the Xbox on the network and usually when you click on it it will have the option to assign a DMZ. You put in the Xbox's ip address into that

 

Ok I found out how to do it. I went ahead & put my XB1 in the DMZ. Gonna reset my Xbox & see what happens.

 

I'm still getting 100% packet loss & now it's saying my network is behind a cone NAT. My NAT is showing as open though. And my download speed has dropped about 2 Mbps, but that's probably my *** ISP. It's a snow day here, so all the kiddies are probably
on.

 

Lot's of people are having that same 100% packet loss including me. It seems to be a problem on Xbox's side

 

Well after doing the DMZ, I was able to get into a Halo 5 game after not being able to. What is the cone NAT though?
