need some advice on my NAT

Ok i have a static Ip and port triggering today i brought a xbox one for my other half and when she is on she gets a open NAT, if i go on i get a strict NAT as soon as she goes off my NAT goes open i think my virgin media super hub 2 cant handle two xbox
ones yet it could handle 2 360's anyway i was wondering if anyone has any advice on a good external router i was looking at the netgear R7000 NightHawk or the Asus RT-N66U. i am swaying more towards the nighthawk because on amazon there was a positive review
saying how he had 2 xbox ones connected and 3 360's and had no problems.

thanks for the advice guys. My nat status is open though (well COD says it is when i find a game). surely if it was the router needing a static IP address nothing would work online?

 

Your network is behind port restricted NAT

They have slower internet and you are wondering why your connection is slower?

Depends on the router on how to disable NAT or make NAT less intense. We will need your service provider (at the place that has restrictive NAT) and the router they have.

Those will help us reconfigure a router / modem with different nat settings.

 

I used to have that problem with a Netgear, but it was an older one, you're the first I have seen with this problem in a long time, the simple thing for us was, I switched on first, that way I had open NAT, but since getting Sky, we no longer have that issue,
the Sky hub does multi NAT.

 

I have the nighthawk. Absolutely love it. I've had no nat issues since I got it. I have 2 360'so and 2 x1's running on it and a lot of times at the same time with no issues.

 

Yeah iv just been looking at the NightHawk yes it is expensive at £154 but i think i am going to get it, yeah the virgin media "super" hub 2 for some reason has problems some say the xbox one doesnt use uPnP very well because that selects the right ports
and on the 360 it does that but the xbox one doesnt. Going to ring microsoft up soon because when i go on my NAT is open but my other halfs will be strict

 

ok so i am behind a cone nat amnd both nats are open yet the other xbox times out on ghosts

 

If you have a static IP for the x1, you can go into the router settings and place it in the DMZ.

 

What will that do Lloydy will that make both consoles have static IP's?

Yeah but a static ip i thought can only be assigned to one console just like port forward can only be assigned to one static IP. i use port trigger then more then one can use it
