I was permanently banned on the Xbox 360 approximately 10 years ago for violating the then named terms of service; now referred to as "terms of use". I'd like to make an appeal as to why a lifetime ban was not necessary as I did not willingly or knowingly
violate the terms of service at the time of the incident. However, I was tricked into physically doing it. So, I thought 10 years was enough punishment to try and state my case.

10 years ago I was a big achievement hunter, had over 100k Gamerpoints. I was a little pompous about it and, apparently, made a very clever enemy. My "friend" brought me a basket with several USB storage devices with the Microsoft logo on them (I
believe they were 2 GB capacity). Also a small notepad of paper with a list of games and numbers on it. Each of the USB drives had a sticker on it with a number. My "friend" said that each USB drive had a profile copied to it along with a few Xbox Live
Arcade games. The notepad was a reference to know which profile to use to play what game. So, this seemed like the perfect way to get a few more Gamerscore and play more games. Because, if I logged in to the profile on the USB drive as player 1 then I could
log into my real account as player 2 and play.

However, after doing this with several of the games I suddenly was banned forever. Achievement hunting was like my identity during this period of my life. So, I sold everything, never contacted anyone in defense, and entered a depression period of
my life due to the lack of identity. Apparently, that happens to a lot of people in their late teens or early 20's - independent of any singular cause. I'm not saying my emotional state was in any way Microsoft's fault. I'm just explaining the events that
    occurred.

I eventually recovered and bought a PlayStation and didn't think about it for a long time. Then, about 2 years after I was perma-banned, I finally found out why. At the time I did not know that you can't actually copy Xbox profiles to any storage
devices without using a computer to somehow modify the USB drive. So, each of those gamer profiles had not been someone my "friend" knew but actually a compromised account from a hacking Xbox forum website - as were the games. Meaning, I had been playing
hacked games on my real account and that was why it was banned. It was diabolically clever, I must admit. He essentially tricked me into a lifetime ban on my favorite gaming system - at a time when I had no idea what "lifetime" really meant. I've had 10
years to reevaluate who I am as a person AND I was tricked into doing it. I'm hoping those two circumstances will help me appeal the decision so I could try out the new Xbox one all digital editions. I was also considering investing in becoming a streamer
so I'd really like to have access to my original gaming account to show how long I've been playing and basically show who I am. If that makes any sense. I could go into more depth as to my education, work history, and the "friend's" ultimate motive. But
I feel that would just be emotionally manipulative.

I should also mention I am unable to use any services with the account including Microsoft Games on the PC. To this day; I can't even become an Xbox Ambassador or post in this very forum using the account. What I learned from chatting with support
for several hours today is as follows. At enforcement dot xbox dot com there is no history of my infraction. Support explained to me that by clicking on the infraction and clicking on the subsequent "Review" link I would be provided with an avenue for talking
to the Enforcement Policy Team. However, because there is no record I have no recourse. I asked for an email address for the team, but it was explained to me they operate completely independent of support and do not handle any kind of phone calls or messages
from any users. My only option is to post my message in the public forums and to compose an actual physical letter to mail to, Microsoft with "C/O Enforcement Policy Team" and hope that it's read by anyone and not just threw out as I don't even know where
their team would be physically located. I also understand as to WHY a customer shouldn't have access to that knowledge. It's my last recourse as there is no other way to contact them. I even suggested having a tech look at the PHP to see if they could
have it generate me the same email I would get if I had submitted a review request... But they have no way of implementing that request.

I don't know why I feel the need to continue and post this in the blog-o-sphere. I guess I just yearn for some kind of cathartic feeling for saying what actually happened. Even though I know, invariably, I'll just be cast as the inept patsy fully
deserving of all that I've wrought... I've been to the Internet before Need Review of a Policy Enforcement Verdict That is No Longer in the System :)

    Hey there iNihil-,

Sorry to hear you have had your account permanently suspended, unfortunately we do not have the ability to review the suspension much less assist in unlocking it. All enforcement action disputes would have to go through the
    Enforcement Website.

I don't think that at this point you are able to submit a Case Review because of how long it has been but you can always find more information by vising the enforcement page.

Here are some helpful links that will help keep you in good standings with your accounts reputation.

You can always start a new account and build up your game library as well as your Gamerscore.

We will go ahead and lock this thread as we are unable to provide assistance in this matter, If you do have any other questions for us feel free to start a new thread so that we may continue to assist you.

    Happy Gaming!

Unfortunately you would have had to contact the enforcement team at the time of the ban in order to possibly have it overturned. They do not review bans that took place over 12 months ago so at this point there is nothing else that can be done and there
is no other way to contact the enforcement team.

Mi cuenta microsoft está suspendida temporalmente y quiero acceder a mi cuenta de xbox

You can't use your account during a suspension time and changing your email will do nothing

Wait for the verdict of the enforcement team and use this period to Read the Code of Conduct

You can check the verdict in the same page you filed for a case review

Permanent Suspension Inquiry After Apeal has been Upheld

Inquiry in this case is the action taken by the enforcement team once a case review is filed. Generally the inquiry includes all the actions that lead to the enforcement act and in the end a decision is taken. In this case the verdict was upheld so the
customer has already made use of the review.

comm banned for an invalid reason

If you have filed for a case review and the verdict was upheld there is nothing you can do.

I suggest you to read the Code of Conduct to avoid future enforcement acts.
