    Got Halo: the Master Chief Collection and a love for Halo 2 multiplayer? Why not add me on XBOX Live for some not-so-serious (but still semi-competitive) custom games? I'm not looking for tryhards or pros, however. Just those who have a
    drive to win while still having a fun time. Basically, competitive play with a friendly atmosphere. Button glitches are both welcome and encouraged. Feel free to bring friends.

    Anyone miss the good times?

    I miss Halo 2 the most. It is still probably the best! I know it doesn't have forge or the custom games like Halo 3 on, but the maps were fantastic, the gameplay was great, and most of all, there wasn't a lot of competition so the player pool was huge!

    If you dislike Halo 4 I highly recommend Battlefield 3, and if you like semi-auto's I think you'll like the AN-94. Sadly the competitive community on CG has had a rupture in the past few days, with most of the top team pulling out of the comp in semi-finals,
    including my own team.

    Bull. CoD, Gears and BF are competitive as hell, even up to the top tiers and no TS system is in place. Competition doesn't come from a number, it comes from people trying to win.

    Halo had more competitive than Gears, COD and BF. Even playing from the start of Halo. I have never met more competition than Halo 2-3.

    Multiplayer games must encourage players to play custom games and give to them the tools they need to create solid gaming communtities. Such things are required because it engages players on a personal level and makes the experience always more memorable.

    Custom games made Halo 2 a success. Something that was strongly missing in H3 and Reach, because at the core the game wasn't design to encourage such trend. Plus, there is still no way to search for custom games, players are still limited to their friend list.

    Every multiplayer game should feature a game browser (see R6 Vegas 2) and a great party system (see Halo or CoD).
