    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have an issue with a code. Unfortunately, your friend will need to get a different code as they are the ones that made the purchase. They can use the

    digital code solution    . Usually with wrong regions they need to go back to the seller also.

    Just out last night, if you have instant on enabled, it'll download in abut 20 mins or thereabouts if you turn the console off, mine did anyway.

    Sorry, but there's no way to put your new console on the beta dashboard. This is simply because beta registration is closed and your beta registration is tied to your previous console.
    I understand that this might be frustrating but the only work around to purchasing content once your account has been converted from points to currency is by purchasing content on a beta dashboard console.

    If you know of any other people around you (friends/family) that might have the beta dashboard, that would currently be the only way you would be able to purchase content on Xbox LIVE. Once the content is purchased you can go back to your own console and
    simply download that content by using your download history (Dashboard > Settings > Account > Download History).

    Extremely sorry for the unfortunate news, but that's just how it is until this dashboard is released to the public later this year (Fall 2013 - no specific date just yet).
