You can change your gamertag at any time, but you will have to pay to change it.

The enforcement team will only give a forced name change if your gamertag violates the code of conduct. If they do give you a forced name change, you will be given a randomly generated tag and will have to pay to change it to one of your own choosing. You
would need to have someone file a complaint on you via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate your account, but keep in mind, they will determine if your gamertag violates the code. So it can take months before they would issue a change,
if they decide to give you one at all.

If Xbox really cares that much about gamertags and what they say 99% of the players gamertags would be changed. It's all these punks reporting gamertag because they get wooped in games and they're all but hurt. Xbox needs some common sense in the works ASAP.

Hi there! When your reputation drops to "Reputation needs work" or "Avoid me" it is actually due to a number of people going on to your profile and blocking you. It does not having anything to do with the actual report system itself. To remove the negative
reputation, you either need to play cleanly for a certain amount of time or have people add you to their favourites list. Hope this helps!
