Need latest info on Silver membership acc

Hello fellow gamers, one of my friends has live acc registered on UK's region but he lives in other area. He bought a voucher from a local game shop to top up his acc but now he cant use that voucher since its not from UK. So i suggested him to use a different
account without a Gold membership and buy stuff which he needs. I have done this last year when i had my account also on a different region. My BF3 premium works on all of my accounts.

Question is: Will it work? Will he be able to buy without gold membership? and will he be able to access the content on his primary account?

Can't connect to Xbox Live

You are on a silver account. You will need to have a gold membership.

If the currency is on his current account and he wants to access it he will need to change the region to the one the currency is for.

If he is planning on purchasing another currency card locally then he can create a new Silver account to put it on and purchase items with. However he must be aware that the item he sees on the UK marketplace may not be available on his local marketplace.

Any DLC (except avatar items) can be shared among profiles.

And how can I get a silver acc, my acc is already gold how can I get silver for him ?

Thanx for the quick reply , I have Points on my silver account and have Live activated on the other (Stupid I know , Long story ) . So I want to download with my silver acc. and play online with my Gold acc. and I'm going to use it on my console only .

I mean downloading the DLC content with my Silver acc. and have access to the MW3 DLC content with my Gold acc. So that's going to work right ?
