Need information with how to deal with constant harrasment

As the title says i need a few steps to take that go beyond just constant reporting the harassing profiles on xbox live

What happened is that i stopped being friends with someone and just wanted nothing to do with him anymore (very much a case of boys and there ego, people can trash talk all they want but if you say the slightest thing back then they get all sad) and i couldn't
handle having to tiptoe around someone who was so sensitive (and yet could say anything he wanted back)

it had been months and from mutual friends i had heard that he kept talking about me in there party chats, would often put me down one day and then the next day would be all "aww i really miss him he was a good friend i just want to be his friend" and they
would say it to me and i would say something along the lines of "One chance and your out, i dont have time with this highschool BS"

Now i am getting messaged on a daily basis (come back from work to a new message) from what i can only assume to be fake profiles (no gamerscore, no friends) , one message said "thanks for your IP Kid" (So what? have my IP address, its just an address anyway
rofl) and then todays message said "you should be very careful you you talk **** about babe. lumpy doxed you yesterday and we have alot of personal information about yourself. have a nice day" (Lumpy was the name of the profile that messaged me yesterday)
and i am not worried about a Doxxing, i have no personal information online that is secret and could discredit me or put me down and all credit card information is removed after i make a purchase. what i want to know is where do i take it from here? after
days of sending messages to microsoft support and getting no response from anybody i am just not sure what to do with all of this?

So community, what would you do? Should it be this hard to not want to be friends with someone? (and after not talking to them for months to see that they still have a problem speaks of mental issues to me)

EDIT: Put under Accessibility as i have nowhere else to put this and i feel that xbox live customer support doesn't really offer that many options for constant harassment

So I'm a coward for not reading some annoying kid's constant ***? I'm sorry that I'm not brave enough to deal with individuals with special needs. That's just not my thing.

Nice! It is frustrating to be on a team like that. Working on kills? Great, then go play Deathmatch mode. But they'd rather pick a mode where they'll be left alone by the enemy because they aren't contributing to the team. I have nothing against snipers,
but I do have a problem with SOME snipers who ignore the situation on the ground and only focus on remaining in their hidey-hole when they could disarm a bomb, take a flag back or toss a grenade to take out the explosives right below them.

I wish they posted your K/D ratio only at the end of Deathmatch games. The only thing that matters in the other modes is how much you contributed to the team's success. Pop tug down, spot some people, heck, even put the MAV somewhere useful after you lift
yourself to your "I WENT 2-0!" nest.

 

the only thing you can do is blocking them and reporting them. also go to Settings - Account - Privacy & online safety - Xbox Live privacy- View details & customize - Communication & multiplayer

 

the first thing is to report the player.

You can through your console set your account to only have communications from friends and not everyone, To do this:

1. Go to settings

2. Privacy and online safety

3. xbox live privacy

4. view details and customise

5. communication and mulitplayer

6. others can communicate with voice, txt, or invites (set this to friends only)

that should prevent the random messages when the person is not on your friends list

I would report the messages that are threads or anything else that violates the CoC or ToU and block the people.

You can also consider changing your privacy settings that only friends can contact you via
Sign in to your Microsoft account

this should prevent randoms from messaging

One thing I myself never do is respond to those messages.

 

ok i have done the mentioned steps above before cheers guys, i also checked to "See when and where you've used your account" and i did notice a succesfull sign in from a IP Address 200 KM from where i live yesterday (i dont live anywhere near my capital
city and the logged in address was from the capital of my state using a completely different internet provider then what i used) it looked completely unfamilier to me so i secured my account by changing passwords, setting up a number and second email as contact
info and after taking and running the IP Through a googled IP Tracker i can confirm that it was indeed an attempt at broaching my account.

So even knowing that these guys can no longer contact me due to your suggestions, i was unsure with what todo about this activity but i noticed that on the IP Tracker Website it gave me the email (in this case it was *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***) and had mentions that any activity
attempts such as doxxing or DDOS attacks should be directed to that (and so i sent an email to them hoping for some action)

this was my original idea but i don't know where it is to contact support? i have tried googling or looking around the support links and it doesn't actually have anything that links to a chatroom or individual 1 on 1 chat like other services do and i got
a-bit stuck

i know all about reporting profiles and messages on my xbox but after doing this for a dozen times and getting no reply message from xbox i decided to post here. i am expecting that due to all my actions (contacting the internet provider of the IP address,
Constant Reports of every account that has messaged me and Posting here) that either A: They will escalate and try to access my account again or B: Either Xbox or there internet provider will curb the activity

As previously mentioned by my fellow ambassadors with regards to reporting and blocking, I just want to add, NEVER respond to the message or entertain the nonsense of having your info. this is purely a cyber bully who is trying to get a reaction out of
you and ignoring it and reporting it will keep you safe and eventually he will be found and banned. Just as a safety precaution monitor ANY unfamiliar activity on your account xbox, banking etc.

 

Basically is exactly what i have done, already monitoring everything just encase cheers for the replies admins

Honestly OP, the only thing you can do is report these idiots and block them. If you feel your safety is being threatened you will need to contact your local law enforcement. These people just want a reaction 99% of the time, just block and report to be
honest.
