    Need info on game sharing.

Ok. I have looked many places and cannot find the answers I need. First some back story. My brother purchased Minecraft and apparently we have the sharing on so I started downloading it too. These are two separate Xbox Ones by the way. He also purchased
some of the texture packs and some other free games that have also downloaded to my Xbox. So my main question is, if I give him 64.04 (NC) to buy GTA 5, it should download to my Xbox and we should both be able to play it, correct? I'm not trying to buy it
digitally on one Xbox, and then have to buy another because it didn't game share.

Thank you for any helpful information that anyone may have.

    :)

  2. Setup to play online with kids on 2 Xbox Ones

You can set one Xbox as Home (this will have the games on) then you can sign in with another account to play the games.

On the other box you would need to be logged on with the account with the games to play them.

You would not be able to jump between the Xboxs as then you would not then be sharing.

This is referred to as Game Sharing.

  4. Need info on game sharing.

Did I miss something? I seem to recall that when the Xbox One was first being released, they removed the game sharing because of backlash over the Digital Rights Management policies. Has this changed for other regions and I had not heard?

I'm pretty sure if you have one Xbox One labeled as the "Home" Xbox then all of the consoles "attached" to that should be able to play the games as well.

I'm not entirely sure of the limitations of this "program", but it sounds like you shouldn't have any problems. Worst case scenario: Your brother actually has to buy his own video game.

I was told by a Gamestop employee that this was a loop hole, but I don't believe it is. It worked for the Master Chief Collection though, so I'm happy I know it works.

  8. Need info on game sharing.

Here are the only articles that seem to reference game "sharing" that I've found. Basically, what they say is that if you mark your console as the "Home" console, your digital games work like they do on the 360. If you don't, then you can only play them
when you are signed in and connected to Live, just like the 360.

  9. Its classed as marketplace theft

What are some specific examples of Marketplace theft?

Marketplace theft includes, but isn’t limited to:

Getting, asking for, or using redemption codes illegitimately.

Transferring licenses to your console from an account that you didn’t create.

Using a system glitch or loophole for financial gain.

Using any sort of “shared” account to avoid having to pay for games or content.

Successfully redeeming or giving away a code, then contacting Customer Support claiming the code didn’t work.

Attempting to defraud Microsoft or authorized agents.

    Fraudulently transferring content licenses.

    Sharing account credentials.

Asking to be added to someone’s third party subscription (such as Netflix, hulu, etc.), in order to avoid restrictions or payment.

  10. What sort of enforcement can I expect for marketplace theft?

If you involve yourself with marketplace theft, your account can be permanently suspended with repeat violations possibly leading to a console ban.
