Need "in game chat" option back on xbox one!

I think I speak for everyone that you all need to bring back the option to play chat through tv, taking that option away was a step in the wrong direction if you ask me.

I record and upload to youtube a lot but now that i am exclusively on the One my uploads dont have in game chat anymore for the simple fact that we cant chose how we want the game chat to play.

There are also "Clubs" on the Xbox platform where you can join one for games and discuss them specifically there. You also have the option to create your own clubs for games, or groups of games, that include activity feeds and chats!

Ok, on the 360 in the options for voice chat you have the option to either play chat through headset, tv, or both. having this option allowed us youtube and streamers to allow in game chat to be herd on our recordings...on the one its only one default option
if headset is plugged in and thats play chat through headset...all they need to do is add this same option to the xbone and we are set.

Ok i understand that. The only thing is upload still will not record your groups chat along side the media.

On the 360 that would have been done with a capture card.

Twitch tv does not even record the voice media except for your own of course.

I know its a bummer.

I am thinking about buying a really nice HD capture device so i can have those audio's recorded along side my videos.

Have you thought about putting your feed back in the Xbox Live Wishlist/Feedback section??

 

Oh and btw i dont use headset as of now. Waiting for better quality set to release. So my chats come through the Tv and they still are not picked up in any recordings or streams.

Also it is probably not an ability with Xbox's dvr being it is most likely a lower end capture device. So not even an update will fix this

 

I do use a capture card as well as stream live to twitch but not from the xbox one. the capture card i use is hauppauge hdpvr. I also use turtle beach x42...i started this thread so microsoft will see that they left out a important feature....i hope they
do fix it soon

Your voice can potentially be heard in the Wishlist feedback section i linked above.

 

Yeah that's really something that can be asked over in feedback. I would hope that something like this would be addressed in a patch or update though. Makes logical sense to be able to at least be given the option to capture this or not.

 

A lot of last Gen Capture Devices did not record the group chats either.

A third party App was needed.. Like Ventrilo where you could Record these Conversations and Save them too be added in a second audio line in your editing program.

Xbox May have used the Equivalent of a eZCap U.S.B 2.0 capture card if this is the case. There is no way as the hardware would need an Upgrade...

I guess only the future will tell.

 

I don't think I am explaining myself well enough, I'm not talking about using the included x1 capture device (it's junk) I use my own, but until they give us us the voice output option like in in the picture I posted in a prior comment this isn't possible...
No hardware would need upgraded to allow this. Once we can send chat through TV then at that point it's picked up by my hdmi and thus being captured by my hd pvr.

I agree, I use an HD PVR 2:Gaming edition, recording chat is a nightmare, Really dropped the ball on this one, of course there are alternative solutions, such as using a skype call and a few tweaks on your computer to record the skype call through the HD
PVR 2 software. but it's rather annoying and only allows chat to be recorded of those in Skype itself. Then you have to rally people together into a skype call. That or use Kinect microphone only, which when plugged in forces audio through speakers on the
XB1, but not everyone has a Kinect. Gotta admit pretty surprising how one simple little option can kill the recording.

 

First you dont speak for everyone.

Second, I am glad you cant play chat through the tv anymore. No need for people in my house to hear some of the ignorance that takes place on Xbox Live.

Third, if it comes back, Ill need an option to disable it. They seem to have forgotten that for voice messages.
