By joining Family Pack your account becomes a child account, so if you promote it you are automatically kicked off the family pack. Regarding the change over on the 27th of August, this have not happened yet, so the family pack that you were in is still
active, just ask the primary account holder to add you back.

I had never removed my account from the family pack prior to it ending.

When you pull you account form the family plan. You lost the benefits that go with it. You will have to put gold on it I would recommend you to get the 12 mouths gold you save money in the long run.

I just did the same thing. Since they disabled the family plan I couldn't use a card to give myself allowances through our host account, so I thought by promoting my account that I could then purchase games and whatnot directly from my account. I was mistaken
when I signed back in and have no way of adding myself back to our host family plan. I feel mistreated by this. I was backed into a hole by the removal of the family plan, still stuck in it's child policies, but under the extension, and when I try to get regular
access to a normal gold account user's features, I get bit and lose over a year of gold...
