Need help with Xbox gift card code replacement. Xbox Specialist link sent is an error.

Here’s the screenshot I took from Xbox support. I enter “damaged code” they respond with a link Xbox specialist which on leads to an error message. As long as I have proof of purchase and a photo someone should be able to help me. Again, Xbox specialist link leads to an error message. This doesn’t help anyone. Others have had this problem trying to contact customer service.

Xbox support cannot replace your gift cards, unless you bought it directly from Microsoft on the dashboard or website

Any gift cards that you buy a retail have to be supported by the issuing company which you'll find on the back of the card where the receipt. They buy the codes from Microsoft and then are responsible for distributing them

Where exactly did you purchase the gift card code, and what's the specific error you receive when trying to apply it to your account?

If you'd still like to contact Xbox Support directly, just type 'talk to agent' a few times to the virtual automated assistant you're directed to. If that doesn't work, go to https://support.xbox.com/contact-us and select 'I can't redeem a code' under 'Subscriptions & billing, select contact options and skip any help suggestions, then start a live chat to speak with someone.
