Need Help with xbox account

Sorry, accessing accounts you don’t own is against the Code of Conduct so this can’t be advised here.

Even if your friend were to sign in to their account on your PC and install the game from Steam, this would most likely just create further complications as you still won’t be able to access the game on your account. The game files are also separate for Xbox and Steam because these are completely different launchers, so the game won’t appear in the Xbox app if it was purchased from Steam or elsewhere (and vice versa).

As a possible workaround, you may be able to remotely install the game to your PC from the Xbox app on another compatible device:

Can you also report the problem when the unexpected behaviour occurs, please? This would send the diagnostic data to the Xbox team to take a closer look into this and hopefully there’s some progress soon. You may add [Xbox Forums] to the title of the report, then share this here once complete.

Thank you i'm gonna try that. Before I try that, a friend of mine has forza on his steam account, if i download the game through his account and then locate the files on xbox app would that work?

This is really weird. Maybe this is being caused by the Xbox server issue that happened yesterday. Users are reporting other problems with the Xbox app until now.

But if you want we can try other things in the meantime. Would you please try to create another partition on your disk to try to install the game (if you didn't do this already)?

- Go to Start > Search and click on Disk Management.

- Select the disk from which you want to make a partition.

- Right-click the Unpartitioned space in the bottom pane and select New Simple Volume.

- Enter the size and you are done.

After this, please try to change where new apps are installed both on Windows settings and on Xbox app and see how it goes (instructions for this step are on my first reply, my friend).

If it still does not work, would you please try to create a local account on your computer and try to install the game from it? It should prompt a game installation again (preferably on the new partition created).

Press Win+R Keys.

Type netplwiz and press Enter.

Click Add button.

Click Sign in without a Microsoft Account. If you do not see that option, disconnect from the Internet.

Click Local account if prompted.

Type the username you want, and the password. You must also specify a hint. Click Next, then Finish.

Make the new local account an admin account:

Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Select the Account Owner Name (you should see "Local account" below the name) > Change Account Type.

Select Administrator, and then select OK.

Sign in with the new Administrator Account.

If it still thinks the game is already installed after all these steps, please let me know.

It does not let you download from the Store website? Is it showing as Installed there too? I want to help you, but you need to talk to me.
