  1. Need help with the backwards compatibility on Xbox One

I got invited to the preview program a few days ago. I downloaded the app and went and bought Viva Pinata digital code from cdkeys. The code didn't work on my Xbox One, so I redeemed it on Xbox.com. After a few hours, I wondered why it hasn't popped up on
my Xbox One and started downloading. So, I ask support and then I realised I'm not enrolled in the program yet. Anyway, I'm enrolled now and my game hasn't popped up or anything. Does backwards compatibility only work with physical copies? Did I do something
wrong? Please someone help me, I would appreciate it a lot

    :)

NOT THE MOST TECH SAVVY, PLEASE HELP?!!

    Hi

Hopefully below should help you a bit

    1. Xbox 360 game discs can be used in Xbox One however the console needs to be online as it must download the backwards compatible version of the game. Please note the game disc is still required after downloading the game unless the game was purchased through
    the marketplace.

    2. With backwards compatibility Xbox One will run and Xbox 360 game along with an additional piece of software that (Emulates) the Xbox 360 on the Xbox One

    3. Providing the Xbox 360 games you are wishing to play can also be played on Xbox One via backwards compatibility then there is no need for both consoles

Here is the current list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

Here is an FAQ list reference backwards compatibility that might help with answering your questions.

To my understanding, the backwards compatibility only applies to physical discs. And I believe there is a separate forum for Preview members. I would link it, but I don't have access to it yet myself.

Backwards compatibility is for digital as well as physical copies of the games. Since this is part of the preview, you do need to post in the preview program forums -

    forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx
