Need help with my wired controler

    Need help with my wired controler


    My Wired controller keeps disconnecting from my Xbox one. I don't even move and it disconnects and I don't know why. Is it the wire or something else? Do I need to buy a new controller or is it fixable?

    My apologies, but I'm a little confused here. When you say "when I plug it into the router", does this mean you always have the router connected between your Xbox and your IPS's modem? But, given that you said "... settings it doesn't even register that my
    Ethernet cord is plugged in" and "the lan light wouldn't light up on my modem" I would have to
    guess that there is an issue with an Ethernet port or ports on your router. Because, the Xbox will display an Ethernet connector icon and say "Wired" underneath
    Current Network Status if it is connected to an active Ethernet port regardless of whether it is connected to the internet. For more information and troubleshooting steps see, "Network

    I need help with my wired connection

    I went to play my Xbox today and sometimes I switch between my wireless connection to a wired connection. But today when I went to switch to the wired connection the lan light wouldn't light up on my modem, I thought it was the cord so I went and bought
    a new one but same thing. So as a test it will work when I plug it into the router. I've tried resetting everything. And when I go to settings it doesn't even register that my Ethernet cord is plugged in at all. Any ideas from anyone?

    Xbox won't respond

    try unplugging the wired controller then turn on the Xbox to see if it still experiences the same issues.

    when the lead for one of my wired controllers became damaged it gave me similar issues and I couldn't even sign in using my other controller.

    if everything works as intended with the wired controller unplugged, you will either need to replace the controller, or if you are lucky, you might only need to replace the USB lead.

    That's your problem, right there. Unfortunately, if you connect your wireless Xbox 360 controller with a charging cable, all your doing is charging the controller.

    The 360 wireless controller can't be turned into a wired controller with the charging cable as neither the controller or the wire were designed to send data this way.

    You either need 360 wired controller or an Xbox One controller. Xbox One controllers can use wired or wireless, but wireless is only supported via Windows 10.
