Need Help with my audio receiver!!!!

I've been looking for the remote code for my audio receiver it is a insignia nsav511. I have had my Xbox one for 3 weeks and been looking but haven't been able to find it at all.

Xbox One Digital Audio hookup question

I'm looking to buy my Xbox One this weekend, but my Receiver does not have HDMI inputs, just digital audio. I have a projector with HDMI, but obviously no audio through the projector, so I'll have to take advantage of the digital audio until I shell out
the money for a new receiver. I was on the site and there is conflicting info about the digital audio.

My question is: Do you need a TOSLink Optical audio cable? Or do you need an S/PDIF digital coax audio cable? The instructions to hookup mention both and I don't want to be sitting in my basement on Friday night with the wrong crap.

It would be regular Dolby Digital.

Not HD audio.

that's why i haven't use an optical wire.

Honestly while 4K looks pretty nice i rather have the jump from regular DD to HD audio than 1080p to 4K right now.

Anyways in the next month or so i'm upgrading my receiver so i get 4K and Atmos. Yeah baby yeah.Click to expand... Nice! I'm currently running a Marantz AV7702 Mk 2. It's running my 7.1.4 Atmos system. I love that thing. A lot of people tend to not care about audio, but to me it's 50% of the experience. Great picture is cool and all, but you really need the audio to go with it.

i rather watch a movie on a 24" screen but with bad ass audio than a 65" 4K but TV speakers. Ewwww.

Nothing beats audio shaking your homes very foundation.

I'm having trouble finding mine too, not sure whether smaller brands aren't comparable for IR codes?

Can't find mine either, its a Yamaha HTR-4063. I saw a support thread with a bunch of manufactures they were going to update, but didnt know how to post on the thread to add my model.

Good luck, I'm pretty sure that a firmware update won't help in this instance as it's a hardware limitation rather than software.

You do though have an option, connect the Xbox directly to your TV, use an optical audio connection from the Xbox to your receiver and turn HDMI audio off on the Xbox and optical audio on. That way you'll get all the benefits of 4k/HDR and the audio quality
from your receiver.

That will at least remove the need to purchase a new A/V receiver.

So the optical audio I need the Xbox connected to a TV? And if I want to use HDMI Audio I have to buy a receiver to hear the Xbox sound on my speakers?

Found this digging through Logitech Info, hope it helps!

The XBox 360 only outputs 5.1 over HDMI or optical, so what you need is to convert from that to the 3.5mm 5.1 channel audio line-in that your speakers need. A converter box may be very expensive; however, you should be able to find an audio/video receiver
(also called a "home theater" receiver) that will take HDMI inputs and output the audio in different formats (i.e. output your audio to a 3.5mm and let you still use HDMI for video).
