    Need help with Microsoft overcharges


    I have a special needs young man who is very dependent and attached to his online gaming community. Because Microsoft requires a credit card for his Ultimate Game Pass, he has mine on his account. We have tried using eGift cards but he always runs into a problem - unfortunately, this has caused a number of charges to my debit card - to the tune of over $2K this year alone. Did you know that your Xbox wish list is automatically fulfilled with a credit card or debit card on the account - $275 today alone. Some of the errors are his definitely but If I push this with Microsoft, my son will lose all his games and his friends online. Support has been less than helpful - we try and get refunds and ask what safeguards I can put on the account like two-factor authentication but the support team we have spoken to is reading from a script and say they can just cancel his account - we just want to a human who can help us figure out a way to problem solve this so my son can still be part of the Xbox online community but we can put parameters in place to make it safe for him. I had to cancel my card and get a new one. Frustrated Mom

    Hello there I would say that you don’t need to worry about overcharging mainly everything these days have things built in so they cannot take in any more charge

    this will not break or explode your controller

    there are safety things in place to make sure these things don’t happen

    Batteries cannot overcharge. Once they are charged the charger basically switches itself off, so no need to worry.

    I've been overcharged, Microsoft has corrected it self every time. II wouldn't worry, you should get it back

    I've tried that several times with no result. Also, this is the first purchase I'm making from microsoft with my creditcard and I've ensured that it's not overcharged.
