    I have gone through around 5 functioning mic's that were not the xbox mic but I have seen them work for many other people. It says in the party when it is not working "We can't find a microphone for these people." "Go to device settings." I have looked through
    troubleshooting for all types of microphones(Including the Microsoft troubleshooting page and the turtle-beach troubleshooting page) and have not found a way to fix it. I am starting to think that the problem is with the xbox and not the mic, my xbox is the

    Need help with Xbox headset mic

    I recently got an Xbox One sterio headset special edition and I can hear people but I can't talk in mic. I've checked the settings and it says my mic is on, I've updated my controlls, I've tried it on different acounts so I'm just wondering if I can do something
    about it or if I should just return it

    Check the Xbox Accessories App on the console and verify that the headset is assigned to your profile. Are you trying to talk in an Xbox Party or in game chat?

    Hey Chalicedyeet,

    Two things to try, Hard restarting your xbox console and updating your controller!

    The
    controller update     believe it or not might be what fixes it, you would think that a new controller would be set, but as a matter of fact it can sit on the self for a time while microsoft pushes out new updates.

    Try both of those, if no result
    contact     microsoft directly!

    Hi!

    First check in the guide in "audio" to see if your mic is enabled or disabled. Then see if you need any controller updates or restarting your xbox. If both of these don't work then it's most likely your controller I'm sorry to say. If you still have a warranty
    on the controller please contact support to get a new one. (I'll provide a link below)
