Need help with hard drive

For some reason a lot of people seem to be encountering this problem when trying to transfer from a 20GB hard drive.

My advice would be to grab a compatible USB stick and use that to transfer over your profile and saves, any DLC can be downloaded again from your purchase history.

As ngocphi says, third party methods involving the PC aren't allowed and can even increase the chances of you losing your data.

If the internal hard drive has stopped working, you will need to send it in to Microsoft for repair. The internal hard drive is not designed to be replaced by the end-user.

the transfer cables are not ment to plug into your pc they are ment for you to plug in your old hdd while your new hdd is in your xbox and transfer it from old to new while on the xbox normally there is a prompt service that help initiate the service
via disc or console

Being used it's definitely possible someone swapped it with the old 20gb hard drives.
