NEED HELP WITH GAMERTAG

I have been away from my Xbox for quiter a long time now, and I want to join back up to xbox live, I have recovered my old gamertag to find that microsoft have removed the gamertag and replaced it with a bunch of letters and numbers, i can only assume
that it confilcted with the Xbox code of conduct but i had no warning of this?? I have called xbox support and they said they can not help me change my gamertag for free, surely if microsoft have changed my gamertag they give me some kind of compensation as
i paid nearly £7 for it and now they are asking for payment again????? So now I have to pay for Xbox Live and pay to renew my gamertag!!!! this is not acceptable I need help from someone, Xbox Enforcement Team help!

I have been searching for a 3 letter name. I found one by using www.gamertag.net and
www.checkgamertag.com and they both said it was available. But... when I went on my Xbox One to change it, it said it wasn't available. Why is this?

If the system says it's taken, then it's taken. The tag system is in use on other Microsoft services, so even if it's not in use on an Xbox, it may be in use somewhere else on Microsoft's servers. The system also doesn't see things like spaces as making
a gamertag unique. So if you were to search "gamertag" it may show as available but actually be in use as "gamer tag".

The enforcement team do not read these forums.

The only place they can be found is here
forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx but it's only to enquire about the reason for a ban,suspension etc.

You did get a warning,it was the code of conduct that you agreed to when you started your account.

Your tag was changed from the offending one to the one you have now for free,if you want to change it again then you will have to pay,you will not get any compensation for breaking the rules nor will you get a tag change for free.

Just be creative and think of words & phrases. There are lots that are unused.

The free gamertag change is only available if you were given a randomly generated tag when you created your account and are changing that tag for the first time. Since the tag you have is not a randomly generated tag, you have technically already used your
change so you will need to pay if you want to change it.

I`ve got to agree with Smwutches on this one, but i`m going to explain in a little more detail for you.

When an Xbox live member chooses an Xbox gamer-tag, they have the full rights to keep that gamer-tag even know if they have been inactive for years along with no gamer-score & no
gold membership,you will not be able to request for the gamer-tag to be forced changed.

The owner of the gamer-tag must change it himself or when a forced gamer-tag change is imposeddue to the gamer-tag violated the code of conduct in any sort
of way, if the gamer-tag you enter is already taken, you are prompted to try another gamer-tag.

Note gamer-tags are also tied to services like Zune or games for windows live. If a gt doesn't exist on Xbox, it might be in use on one of those services. If you try sending the gamer-tag you want a friend request and it says it’s not a
valid gamer-tag that just means it isn't used on Xbox live, but it could be used for Zune or gfwl. I thought this Information would help you understand Rulxa, Good luck,

I don't think Microsoft will give you them accounts, why don't you think of a unique OG Tag, There is loads off Tags out there that no person has thought of.
