What's the nature of your question?

If it's about a ban or suspension, you should post in the relevant forum (forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx) and they will reply to you there about reasons for
the ban/suspension.

also they only change game tags if they are against the rules, yours is not the ONLY way to get your name to change is to pay the 10 bucks. if it is because people are harassing you, just block communications with those users and or set your profile to
friends only then only those on your friends list can communicate with you.

Thanks guys. That was part of my question but now I'm having trouble changing altogether. It says it's already in use however I am not able to find any record of this gamertag being in existence. Any ideas?

If the system says a tag is in use, then it's in use somewhere on Microsoft's servers. The tag system is used on other Microsoft servers. Also, the system doesn't recognize things like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So if you were to look up "gamertag"
it may show as being in use even though the person using it has it like "gamer tag".

In order to switch up the emails on your accounts, both yours and your brothers, you'll want to follow the instructions on our

change Microsoft email support article. It can be time consuming, and you'll need a couple extra emails to do the switching, but that should sort you out.

Hello Vics,

Your gamertag contains racial content in it towards the mexican race. Once your gamertag gets reported enough it will auto-change to a different gamertag. You will still have to pay for a change.

Please be careful next time when choosing a gamertag. Also, you may Block Communications with those people.

Just open the message, press Block Communications. You may also submit a player review, as it will limit your chances of meeting that said person again.

Again, please be careful when you get around to choosing a gamertag.

Ok the only way to change it is when you sigh up and get a random gamer tag you can only change it once after that you have to pay 800 points/ten dollars fog it
