    hey guys I need help!!! My 360 won't connect to my or my girlfriends hotspot. I've tried making a static up and I've tried setting to factory default but neither have worked. Anybody have any ideas Please!!!

    What error message are you getting when you try and connect via a wired connection? Is the cable detected at all? Have you tried using a different cable, or a different port on the router?

    I just changed to a Netgear WNDR4000. I can connect wireless but not wired. I tried setting auto and manual IP's etc even tried copying those from the wireless connection data, but I can't get it to connect through the wire. I assume this has to be a
    router setting, but I am not having any luck getting this set up. When I use auto settings wired I get a funky IP I assume from the provider as if I were connecting straight to the modem instead of one assigned by the router, as well as no DNS settings and
    I can't seem to make the router assign one to the xbox. What setup on this router am I missing to connect via the ethernet port?

    Proceed by doing the fallowing steps. This xbox feature will help you solve where you are having problems connecting to.

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller (Xbox button in the center of your controller).
    2. Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
    3. Select Network Settings.
    4. Select Wired Network if you are prompted to do so
    5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
    6. Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.

    Hey PoD Gh0st! Can you provide us the codes you receive when you test your Xbox LIVE connection as CRUSHER has suggested? Can you also provide the other information listed in our start here sticky (forums.xbox.com/.../155724.aspx)?
