    What Country/State/Province do you live in? Iowa

    Modem brand & model number: hitron technology CGN

    Router brand & model number: netgear wnr2000 v3

    How many consoles do you have connected to this router? One console

    Wired or wireless (for each console): wireless

    If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? Internal

    Things you have tried: restarting my model and router works for ten minutes then kicks me off. I've tried clearing the cache. I tested my Internet speed to make sure it's fast enough which it is, I've also tried restoring the network settings back
    to fault. I have Internet on 3 other devices in the house and there not having any problem staying connected

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown unknown

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No

    Any Error Codes you encounter: 80151904

    Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Mediacom

    Connection Problems. Need Help.

    Please don't buy a Linksys if you don't have to. They are going through a transition from Cisco to Belkin. Official Xbox Networking Specialists suggest getting Netgear WNR2000v3, Netgear WNDR3400 or higher in the series, and D-Link DIR-655. Those all work
    great with the Xbox, as well as multiple Xboxes. If your speeds are .49 upload, that's really not going to cause the lag you're having. Anything under .30 and you might have more of a problem. Did you run those speed tests while wired into the router or the
    modem?

    Okay thanks that helped a little because when i search for a game on cod. it usually only finds 10-12 good games, now its finding at least 18. but i dont know if this makes a difference or anything but when i play with friends. i lag a lot more then normal.
    is there a reason for that? or should DMZ fix that to?

    Hey! Sorry you're having trouble! Are you doing anything specific when the error code or your disconnections occur?

    This error code usually points to an Xbox Live profile problem, so let's try moving your profile off of the console and downloading it back from the Live servers. The method I'm going to cover involves moving your profile to a USB flash drive, but if you
    don't have one available you can follow the instructions for deleting your profile

    . If you choose this method, be sure to choose "Delete Profile only" and then continue to Step 2.

    Step 1: Move Your Profile to a USB Flash Drive:

    1. Plug a USB flash drive or an Xbox 360 Memory Unit into your console.

      Note The Xbox 360 Memory Unit can be used only with the Original Xbox.
    2. Go to Settings, then select System.
    3. Select Storage
    4. Select All Devices.
    5. Select Profiles, and then select your gamer profile.
    6. Select Move.

    7. Select the flash drive or memory unit that you want to move your profile to.
    8. When the move is complete, remove the USB flash drive or memory unit from your console and take it to another console.
    Step 2: Clear Your Cache 3 More Times

    1. Go to the Settings section of your dashboard and select System
    2. Select Storage.
    3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
    4. Select Clear System Cache.
    5. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
    6. Clear your cache this way at least 3 times.
    Step 3: Download Your Profile

    If those steps don't work and you continue to experience problems, be sure to reply!

    Connection problems need help

    I have been lagging in game for a few days now, at first i thought it was just a lag spike but its been continuing for a while now. In game it says i have a 4 bar of connection but i am skipping around the map. I checked my network settings and my connection
    to the network is a 2 bar. I then went into detailed network settings and it says my wireless strength is only 65% and my packet loss is 1% when all my friends have no packet loss and have high wireless strength. How can i improve my wireless strength to stop

    Your not with Virgin Media by any chance? I have 2 friends that have had issues in the last few days and Virgin did post that they have been doing some work in some areas.

    The things I'd look at if I have online issues.

    Hard reset the console ( when the console is on, hold the button on front of console for 10 seconds until it shuts down, leave for a few minutes then fire it back up.

    Are you wired or wireless? if wireless, is it possible for you to try a cable to see if that solves it. Even if your using a cable, have you another one to try? I've had it in the past where somehow my Ethernet cable just somehow broke lol

    Have you run a network test? "Detailed" one, what's your NAT type saying, Open, Moderate or Strict?

    You say there is no problem with you internet but do you know this from speaking to your own broadband provider? I ask because I'm with BT, when I've had issues in the past I've checked the BT status page, everything says fine but these pages can take a
    while to update any problems but when I've actually spoke to someone on the phone they did say there were issues. Would be worth phoning them if you haven't already.

    No doubt I've missed out some things here, still not quite awake lol but post back and let us know. I'm sure someone will be able to help/point you in the right direction if any of the above doesn't work.
