Need help with changing GamerTag

I let my little brother use my email address to play xbox360. I now have my own xboxOne, and need to create my own gamertag, but I use the email address he did for my account. How do I cancel his gamertag and create my own?

sorry first you should not bump older posts, second forced name changes are ONLY given if your tag violates the rules. if you want to get a name change YOU will have to PAY for it. if people are harassing you report each of their tags via your 360/One
console then block communications with them. Another option is to set your profile to 'friends only' this way only those on your friends list can communicate with you, those are your only options I am afraid.

In order to switch up the emails on your accounts, both yours and your brothers, you'll want to follow the instructions on our

change Microsoft email support article. It can be time consuming, and you'll need a couple extra emails to do the switching, but that should sort you out.

If there are any users on Xbox live sending inappropriate messages you should mute them and block communications. That is the most effective solution to this problem.

Hello Vics,

Your gamertag contains racial content in it towards the mexican race. Once your gamertag gets reported enough it will auto-change to a different gamertag. You will still have to pay for a change.

Please be careful next time when choosing a gamertag. Also, you may Block Communications with those people.

Just open the message, press Block Communications. You may also submit a player review, as it will limit your chances of meeting that said person again.

Again, please be careful when you get around to choosing a gamertag.

Ok the only way to change it is when you sigh up and get a random gamer tag you can only change it once after that you have to pay 800 points/ten dollars fog it
