My tv isn't on 247 but it's on a lot of the day. I think that's the dumbest design, you should have the option to turn it off and still watch tv. Oh well.

I don't think the circuits inside the xbox one are really working hard when only the TV signal is passing through....but the fan might be, that would be the only part I worry about failing over the long term....btw, you keep your tv on 24/7?? You don't worry
about it failing??

Is it safe to leave it on 247? I have it inside a wall unit with a glass door I don't want it to over heat and brake or something.

Which kinda sucks, yeah. But they're pushing the vision for the x1 as such a wonderful way to watch TV that you'd never WANT to watch without it.
