Need help transferring gamertag to an new email

Im trying to move my gamertag to a new email but it isnt working, I am getting error code 8016FE6D and have looked at the support page for it of which it lists a bunch of reasons why I cannot transfer

This may mean that the original Microsoft account or your Xbox Live account is in one of the following states:

The Xbox Live account has a past-due balance.

The current Microsoft account associated with the Xbox Live account is deleted or expired.

The Xbox Live account has been flagged for unauthorised access.

The Xbox Live account has a local currency balance.

The Microsoft account you are trying to move your gamertag from is under 30 days old. (This helps prevent your gamertag from being stolen by an attacker.)

Or, it may mean that the “target” Microsoft account is ineligible because:

That Microsoft account is associated with another Xbox Live account.

That Microsoft account is associated with a billing account.

yet i cannot deduce which reason it is, im certain that its none of them, the only two i really cant eliminate from the list are currency balance and past due balance, yet for both ive looked everywhere to find out if its them or not, im sure theres not
a balance but I cant find out for sure. Any ideas?

Microsoft Account Help needed - Old Account - Old Email

I have a gamertag that I have been using for over 10 years. Created with an email address not associated with Microsoft and cannot log in to outside of my Xbox. Need help transferring to a new Microsoft account. Refuse to create a new gamertag as I have
spent quite a bit of money on this account.

Account Weirdness

It sounds like an xbox live account was set up on the other email which is why youre probably seeing that as a gamertag. Theres no way of transferring a GT to a new email address as theyre tied specifically to the address. You would need to create a brand
new email address to add as an alias which didnt have an xbox live account set up.

Hi DannyTubiolo,

I believe that you can not transfer a gamertag as it is linked to your Microsoft account/email.

You will need to use the Microsoft account recovery form and try to recover the lost account/password.

Create a new Windows Live ID and transfer the gamertag you don't use to the new email address. Then transfer your son's gamertag to your wife's email address.
