Need help setting up Xfinity X1 box with Xbox one

Cable company is Comcast ( Xfinity X1 platform ) cable box is model # PR150BNM .. I have a tv signal and the one guide works just can't change channels with voice or xbox one controller. . Any suggestions? ? Thanks

X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

For some reason the xbox one won't recognize my Xfinity X1 Platform box to switch channels on my cable box. Anybody else having this problem with the smaller buddy boxes as Comcast call them? I've tried entering Xfinity & Comcast and still nothing.

Set up Comcast box manually. Type in Xfinity instead and see that gives you more choices. I have a x1 box from Comcast, could not find it until I typed Xfinity.

Didn't work.. The cable box is Xfinity RNG 150N.. I've tried everything.. If you Google image Pace rng150n it hasa picture of the box.. I'm at a loss ... Been trying for 2 days. . If you have any more ideas please let me know.. Thanks so much for helping

 

RGN150n is not the Comcast/Xfinity "x1" platform (AKA Pace MG1). The 150n is found

forums.xbox.com/.../1626371.aspx Look at the bottom of the STB to get the exact model number. I suspect it is the RGN150n. Use HDMI 2.0 (or 1.4 high speed) all the way from the STB to XBox to TV. Let me know

 

With the Xfinity RGN150N box that is not a DVR you can not control any TV functions like pause, rewind, FF, record, ect... The XBox 1 console is not a fully TV DVR otherthan with games. Need to state that before more folks get sucked into what they think
is a DVR but in reality is not. I used to be with Directv and the box I had worked with XBox 1 only because it was a usable DVR which XBox 1 box piggy backed off of....

 

Same issue here, same box and can't change channels. Any options? Don't care about DVR features.

 

Same problem here. I have picture, guide works fine. Won't change channels.

I can even bring up the Comcast guide using the Comcast remote, but will not change the channel.

 

I have the same problem and the same Xfinity box. It says "RGN 150N " on the front of the box. Oneguide works but that's it. Can't change channels. And I don't have the Kenect.

 

Did ya'll ever fix your issue? I just switched to Xfinity & this is driving me nuts. I have looked EVERYWHERE & I cnanot find a solution to get my Xbox One to control my Xfinity XG1-P box.
