Need help restricting my network

I have ATT Uverse and a Motorola NVG510 modem. Every time my roommates log on to do something like Netflix, it takes a lot of the bandwidth. This is making my game time practically unplayable with the lag. I have port forwarding set up, but haven't set a
static IP and have been trying to do that ALL DAY.

So if anyone can help me set up a static IP (if I even need to, at this point) and/or restrict bandwidth used by other devices, I would really appreciate it. Thank you, guys!

You may need to check with your college as they may be restricting access to these services on there network.

Need help restricting in-game purchases!

My kids have already done two small purchases, but I want to restrict them to requiring a passcode before finalizing. Has anyone done this and can pass that info along? Thanks! **CrazyMom**

None of this really needed. You should be able to assign a QoS (Quality of Service) to your Xbox as a specific Device. If you set up a Static IP, it is from your Router and every Device would need a manual Static IP. Further do
not use Port Fowarding and a Dynamic IP, they typically do not work together.

I tried QoS for it. I've done it in the past on other routers. But I can't find it on this one.

If that didn’t work, you may need to reach out to your Internet Service Provider to have them open the required ports for Xbox Network as well as check if there are any restrictions.
