Need Help Reporting a player? Ambassador PLEASE Help.

Today a player recently cussed and flipped at my 5 year old child and I reported him several times after every text he sent.
However, I did not block his gamertag because I wanted to see if actions would be taken to ban or suspend this rude individual.
Nothing has happened to him! I would see on his profile "Code of Conduct". Which has me questioning how Xbox Live spreads control over those who cross the line beyond the rules they make us sign to even be online. About 4 years ago when I was
playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 I alone dominated 6 players on the opposite team and to get revenge they reported a saying on my profile which read "clack clack beeotch" I was banned for one whole day. Then,
I was kinda upset. I am beyond
livid at what this individual wrote about my 5 year old child (thanking God he can't read yet) and after I responded to him saying "You were playing against a 5 year old- get a life"
that made him call me names and take it to another ridiculous level. After all the complaints I sent about his gamertag
nothing has happened to him; he's gonna sign online tomorrow and play with his buddies and
think he can do whatever he wants. Look what happened to me 4 years ago...? What will happen to him?? No wonder this generation thinks they can do,
say, and act however they want; there are no rules that are being enforced at home or my favorite online community; Xbox Live. I truly want a
lesson to be dealt; not revenge. Anyone can send me as much hate mail as they like after I beat them at their own game. However, my son
shouldn't be made to feel bad because he beat an adult at a game; he's 5 years old and he just wants to have fun- NO ONE
should have the right to impede on that.

Need Help Reporting A Cheater

I've tried looking but I'm new to these forums and it's hard to navigate for me. Is there any specific thread to report cheaters in? Should I call Microsoft? This guy was using that camo cheat in Halo 4 where he wouldn't show up on the radar. Thanks for
any help and I appreciate any feedback,

Ambassador needs help please.

Regarding the badge, make sure you head over to
the loot page on the new Ambassador site and redeem your rewards there. I only recently realized that I needed to do that for my Ambassador badge to show up, myself.

 

Why not just use the console features???

NOBODY HERE CAN HELP YOU.

Simply Mute, Block, Avoid and REPORT any unwanted players. Cussing over xbox live is NOT a reson to be banned IMO. No need to keep tabs on unwanted members for any reason.

What happened to you 4 years ago?? Why did you ever speak to this unwanted member?? Just move on!!

Seems like this is your issue as the child doesn't know what happened. Maybe a bit more supervision over the 5 year old would be a decent idea as well.

@ Bong Kaos- if only you would have ACTUALLY read my post or sent me some real help instead of parenting advice that would have been needed. like... how to contact the enforcement department or something along those lines... I did use the console features-
its people who believe they can say, do, and act however they want with no repercussions. That individual was clearly in violation of the rules of xbox live but I guess you don't really care about that. good luck??

"Today...". Reports are NOT automatically processed. Someone investigates every report, and this takes a certain amount of time.

This is not necessary. BLOCK HIM NOW. When someone you have reported has action taken against them, Xbox Live will often send you a message informing you.

As you've already said, you've only sent the report today. Let them process your report first.

That contradicts your previous statement that "Nothing has happened to him!". That "Code of Conduct" was part of something that happened to him. The other thing that mostly likely happened is they
were suspended from Xbox Live for a couple of days or weeks, or they had their communications suspended. Neither of which you would be informed of by just watching his profile, so again BLOCK HIM NOW.

It's simple really. A report is made by a user like you. That report is looked at, and action is taken.

Well, you did break the rules. It was 4 years ago, so I assume you've matured somewhat since then.

It's understandable that you're livid, but the way you're going about this is completely wrong. Don't send him any messages. Don't respond to him. Just block him. There is not a single reason
why you should not be blocking him.

You only needed to make one complaint. Every other complaint you make will be bundled with the first one, making it only one complaint. Let them get to your complaint, and have some patience.

Probably something similar to what happened to you. He'll be booted for a few days or weeks, then be let back online.

I can't say that I disagree with you here, but again, patience. Give the people who process your complaint time to process your complaint.

So, why have you not enabled parental controls? Why haven't you set the communications on the account to "Friends Only"? Either of those options will disable anyone's ability to send offensive messages to your son.

Also, you're asking for Ambassador's help. Ambassadors do not work for Xbox, so they do not issue bans. All they can do is offer advice.

 

Bascially, everything Zen wrote. Also, while it isn't my place to tell people how to raise their children, I'd personally think twice before I ever let my 5 year old kid online, especially playing video games.

As an ambassador yourself, I would assume you know how to use the report feature.

I did read, and gave you the needed information on how to handle the situation. WHO said I didn't care?

IMO, you may need all the GOOD LUCK you can get.

Considering "BongKaos" is violating XBL's ToS (according to the ToS's themsleves) by having Drug References in his Gamertag, really shouldn't go around telling people to "deal with it" which is what I'm getting from his posts.

To the parent - the only person to blame here is yourself, so all your efforts to try to teach this person a lesson is all for nothing. When you let a little child play games online with adults and fail to use any of the settings that would shelter your
child from comments, you are just being an idiot. I always have a good laugh at parents that let their little kids play games against adults and then come crying here for help when someone lashes out at someone they probably have no idea is a couple years
out of diapers. It's always the same story too. Thanks for the amusement at your expense.

 

Sorry, but it really couldn't be said any better than Bizarro just did. A 5 year old probably shouldn't be playing online in the first place, and they definitely shouldn't' have voice chat turned on if you insist on letting them play online. Block communications,
take away the headset, and move on. You're only wasting your time and anyone else's that you involve otherwise.
