need help removing the family settings/parental controls!!!

can anyone please help me on how to completley remove the parental an family settings on my xbox 360. it was my brothers old one i factory reset it an ended up deleting all his stuff created my new profile and still cant get them
off. ive tried every youtube video going with codes an nothing works. i called the xbox 1800 support help an everything it was an a voice recording perosn an when i said i needed help with 360 they hung up on me? i dont know what else i can do.... please help

Hi there! The issues with not being able to play with other party members sounds very much like some family settings on the console. If you have a child account or are part of a Family Plan, you will need to have the Guardian/Primary account holder change

How to have two adults in the Gold Family?

There are two sections: Removing from the Family Pack and only removing the parental controls. This leads you to believe that you can only remove the parental controls without removing the individual from the gold pack.

One is elaborately described the other line items.

Also, related I think, We have not enabled parental controls, but they are being applied anyway. I find that interesting behavior as well.

be sure to check who the parent is of the other child account. because if the parent accnt is not yours you first need to remove that child account from the parent accnt by signing in with the parent account and going into the family settings and removing
him. once removed he should be able to be added to your family. or try using the child accnts parent credentials to add to the family pack.

Hey ChiefHealer187! To get yourself parental controls you will need to either be added as an adult to the current family or have the current parent account remove the child from their family so they can be added to yours. If the child is removed they will
not be able to access the Xbox Live service until they are added to another family. For more information on removing family members check the

You will need your parents to change the settings. If you have reached that old "adult" age, then your parents will need to remove you from the "family" account.

Have you tried removing him from the parental account first?

Sign in on the parental account. Go to settings > Family (do this from the dashboard, not the guide)

Kid account should show up there. Select it and remove from family.

You'll either be able to try adding them right away or will just need to set the primary account as the parent.
