Need help regarding Xbox Game Pass Ultimate purchase

Hi all,

I'm considering to purchase Xbox Game Pass Ultimate but i dont understand how it all works. Been reading allot on below links but still its not clear to me. I like to get access to both Xbox and PC so i think Ultimate is the right choice but i'm not finding
information about some details that are important to me.

My questions:

I guess new games will be added continuously (for both Xbox and PC). But are games removed as well? How do we get to know which games and when?

Say i'm in a middle of a game and its removed? then what? What are my options

If i compare to my PS4 where i also have similar subscription (as a reference). Each month new games are added i must add these new games to my library to be able to play them from that day onward as long i pay for my subscription.

For Xbox (PC and console) what i understand is that i dont have to do that. Games are simply added into the library for all subscribers. Do i understand it correctly? Or do i need to take some action for the new games to be available to me?

In regard to games that i can play through subscription i understand that i must have internet connection for validation for my subscription. But how will the console call home and check this? Say i dont have internet for 10 days. Can i still play the games?
(really important to know)

If i purchase a game from the store (on my console or PC), do i need internet to play these games? Is there a background check now and then or how does it work? (i remember this was a big topic during Xbox one release if i remember correctly and then it
was removed or something but not sure?)

I really dont like the idea that i cant play the games i have bought to require internet for being playable (also very important to understand how this works)

Another thing to add to what my fellow ambassadors have said already is to keep these in mind

The game pass gives you the license to download, install, and play these games while they are in the vault for the game pass.

Once they are removed from the game pass vault though the only thing it will do is to remove the license from your account unless you have already bought the game digitally.

It will still be taking up space on your hard drive so if you want to free up that space possibly for another game you would need to go in and request the game to be uninstalled from your console.

Just think of it as the Netflix of gaming. Games are removed from the service, usually at the end of a month, and new ones are added, usually at the start of the month.

If you are in the middle of a game, then it is removed from the service, then you can no longer play the game unless you buy it. Your save is still available though, if you want to play it again.

To find out which games are added, you can check on the Xbox app on the PC (PC games only) or on Xbox game pass app on andoid or iOS.

Every thirty days, the console will need to connect to the Xbox Live service to check if you have Xbox Game Pass and can play your games.

If you purchase a game, then some games may need internet, especially the online multiplayer ones. Any single player games will not require internet connection unless stated on the store page for that game.

1. yes games are added every month and removed when removed they will show up on the game pass as 'leaving soon'

2. youre next option would be to buy it, you will keep all saved data so once bought you can continue from where you left off

3. game pass is nothing like what playstation have, psn with its free games every month is exactly like xbox live gold but not like game pass, once they are added into game pass you click to view them and then install them to the pc/xbox.

4. you only need the internet connection to download and have your game pass on that account (i believe) however if a game is only a multiplayer game then you wont be able to play it

5. once a game has been bought on your account you can play it as much as possible again as long as its not a multiplayer online game.
