    Need help recovering account


    I've been playing Xbox and using the same account for like 10 years, I have never had this problem before. Tried to sign in a few days ago and account said, "detected unusual activity" and needed to verify my account. The biggest issue is, I cant use the
    text me option; long story I wasn't able to pay my phone bill.

    I keep seeing a post online saying you can use someone's else's phone number, but I haven't seen that actual option.

    Me and my husband have both tried the email option, but I may have selected the "only one verfication option so email won't work". I don't know I made the account back in high school!

    I've tried calling Microsoft and can't get a hold of a real person.

    Suck it up and wait till Wednesday when I can finally pay my phone bill, or is their anything else I can do? 10 years of game play, tons of money put into it and credit card info on that account, kinda stressing the past few days!

    Hey Scowling, sorry to hear about the account issues! Before we go any further, I want to make sure I completely understand the issue you're experiencing. It sounds like you're not sure as to the details of the account you want to use, namely the WLID. Is
    this the case? If so, you should be able to call phone support for assistance--if you can provide all other relevant details of the account, they should be able to provide the WLID to you. :)

    Honestly, it must be a different email. Check all the emails you have and all possible passwords. Also, would you have used your brothers email or someone elses?
