Need Help Recording A Few Things Off My 360

So for years Ive been wanting to get a capture card. At first I couldnt find a decent quality one for a decent price. I didnt want to pay $150 or more for something Id rarely use. The Xbox One game dvr does the trick for me but unfortunately I have a ton
of minecraft and ez muze things I made on 360 that I'd like to record in at least 480p and upload to youtube primarily as an archive for my own purposes, but also to show my friends.

I finally decided to spend almost $200 on an HD El Gato because I couldnt find anything else that would work and I figured I'd try to get my use out of it. It arrived today only to find that it needs to be plugged into my computer while recording which defeats
the purpose. My computer and xbox are several rooms apart and the way my 360 is set up with my tv, it's not getting moved around and such. So I'm gonna get my money back for it and I guess I'm thinking about getting a lower end camcorder because from what
I've seen, it should be fairly simple to use av out on a tv and av in on a camcorder to record directly to your camcorder and then upload from your camcorder to your pc. Although I'm concerned thats not gonna work for some reason and then I'll have to take
the camcorder back.

But I was wondering if there are any other options. Is there no such thing as a wireless capture device or just something that could record directly to the device like an external harddrive for audio and video which you could then take to your computer and
upload? Also, I was wondering if theres something you can do with your pc network on 360? I know you can view your computer files on your 360 but is there a way to use that to wirelessly transmit your audio and video to your computer and possibly use some
program to record? Please help me. This has been a major headache for like 3 years now and I've yet to figure out something simple that works for me. Thanks in advance and sorry for the long read.

i need help becouse i was recording a mw3 spec ops survival for my youtube channel and my 360 was so loud that the noise got into the recording and also overheats my xbox sometimes i need help quikly

Is there anyway to refund my points if i dont use all of them? i want to buy some, but i want to know im not wasting money if i cant use every single one. so what options do i have or where can i learn more?

 

I have a better and cheaper idea for you. Soon, Minecraft will be released for the Xbox One and those who purchased it on the Xbox 360 will be able to purchase it for reduced price on the Xbox One when it is released.

The best thing is that you'll be able to port your worlds over to the Xbox One (sorry but no game saves though) when it's released. Then you'll be able to use the consoles built in DVR to record your clips.

Yeah I did hear that and thats what Im planning to do for Minecraft now but no idea what I'm gonna do for Ez Muze. Ahh well. Better than nothing.

 

A capture device, like the one you got, requires a PC. How else are you going to record the footage?
