*NEED HELP* Official/Legitimate way to do a Proper License Transfer

I am interested in purchasing an Xbox One maybe November 2015, yes 2015. As of right now does the Xbox One have any of this confusing, convoluted, plain and simply unnecessary license transfer process? My license transfer process involved 291GB
of pure smackdown pain. The entire process from data transfer to license transfer for every item on the HDD lasted 13h42m.


Obviously I am the proud owner of the Xbox 360, but I am also the owner of the Playstation 3 and by Christmas morning the white Playstation 4(Destiny Bundle that my Aunt has made painfully obvious shes getting me!!!). On the Sony
side it is as simple as Activate/Deactivate the console.



1. You transfer the data to a portable HDD > Sign in to your account > Deactivate the console.


2. Setup new console > Sign in to your account > Activate console > Then
after activating the new console just transfer the data over. I can confirm this many times over. THE END.




You don't have to re-download the entire content/data "licenses" for every item one by one that you have on the HDD. Like you have to do on the Xbox 360.




Said once before and will probably be said many times over and over again by many more:


CONFUSING, CONVOLUTED, TIRESOME & PLAIN AND SIMPLY UNNECESSARY!!!!!!!!

 

I would like to make the suggestion for Microsoft/Xbox to Make an Updated License Transfer video. (I know I'm beating this dead horse to the ground, but guess what, this license transfer process really was that excruciatingly painful for me!!)




If you do an internet search right now and type in the search box Xbox 360 License Transfer all you mostly get are results of searches and videos of illegitimate ways to essentially get your account suspended/banned. Of the only 2 official
videos I found one was with Major Nelson Larry Hryb that is over 4 Years old and has the NXE dashboard. Youtube is absolutely riddled with these "illegitimate ways" videos.

 

You have to love the dedication of this guy. Celebrate him until the end of time.

By the way to be honest with you all, Yes I know the guy!!!. He's my best friend and I am over at his house this very second I just watched him write the 2 posts right above mine for almost an hour ranting and complaining like a lunatic. It almost made me
die laughing at him. He is really ***.

 

American Rifle - license transfers are relatively easy on both consoles.

For the 360 - if you are going from an older model 360 to the new S or E then simply transfer your license using the steps linked below and then either use an official Microsoft Transfer cable or redownload your items to the new console. If you use the
transfer cable then you'll need to download the items again but there is no need to delete them.

If you're going from an older console to another older console or a newer console to another newer console then simply move the hard drive over, transfer the license and then redownload the items. When the items already exist on the console the download
takes about 10 - 20 seconds.

Transferring licenses on the Xbox One is much easier though. If you are moving from one Xbox One console to another simply mark the new console as your Home console and all licenses will be automatically transferred.
