This worked! Managed to download a small game just to test it, and it's working so far. Thanks so much!

Go to the windows settings
Applications
Applications and Features
Look for Gaming Services
Click on it
Advanced options
Click repair
- If this solution does not solve the problem, try the alternative below.
Go to This PC, enter the disc where you want to install the games.
Rename the "WindowsApps" folder in "WindowsApps.old" then restart the pc.
If the error occurs again then rename the "WpSystem" folder in "WpSystem.old" and restart again.

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried all of the fixes above, and I'm now getting a different error code, and now games aren't even trying to install, getting the error right away at 0%. Error Code: 0x80073d0d
