Need help getting old gamertag

I used to have the gamertag, IIIIIELViSIIIII. Back during Halo 3 I was young and stupid and someone offered me a three month for the account. I did not know at the time that this was against the terms of service. They then took the account without giving
me the live and I believe changed the email and password. I remember trying for a couple weeks to get the account back, but either I didn't write it down correctly or he changed it. Anyway, this guy never even used the account at least for Halo 3. He wanted
it because of its rank and then never used it which even makes it more annoying. I tried to message the account over the years, but no response.

I was looking at my original 360 (I have a slim now and the original had a disc tray error so it was only good for downloads) and there are some Halo 3 films which I have and can not watch because they are associated to IIIIIELViSIIIII. I want to use them
to make a montage and upload them to youtube, but they are basically gone forever unless I can get the account back.

The account has now been inactive for YEARS and I'm sure you could verify that! I just want the account back and I know that I probably won't, but it's just going to sit there and be inactive forever...I guarantee it. If you want just get
back to me in six months and I guarantee it will be inactive. Who knows if the guy deleted it off his xbox after changing the info.

Getting an old gamertag

The short answer is no. Last announced a couple years back was gamertags inactive from the original Xbox days were being recycled but that was halted. Here's the "official response".

There is no schedule or estimated dates for when certain GTs will become available again. GTs are not an on-demand service. They will be available when they are available.

is there any way I can get a gamertag that has been inactive for over a year and a half

 

Your not going to get it back,especially considering the way you lost it.if it says the tag is unavailable then that's it.
