So after 1.19 minecraft I'm getting a lot of lag issues like chunks not loading and fps dropping, it was fine before 1.18 and I'm playing on an iPad. Any ways or client I can use?

Dropped on your head?!?! Wow you are the poster child for "ignorance is bliss" I suggest that if you have no clue about the topic at hand, keep out of it!!

My lag is at 61ms and as Temhotabot said, "You can use LCD tvs for gaming you just need ot make sure the response rate is below 8ms." Mine is now below 8ms (not perfect for GH, but will do)

So in response to your obvious backward thinking.... lemme slow this down for you Response time is??? Ohhh wait it's the time it takes for the TV to display the pic rec'd from whatever source..

Lag is the value associated with the latency or RESPONSE TIME!! *shakes head*

    Have a Wonderfully ignorant day!!

You're getting worked up about an old thread. ;)

Anyway, the response time on an LCD is the time it takes for the liquid crystal to shift to the target position, i.e. pass through the desired amount of light. Manufacturers usually measure this during a gray-to-gray transition rather than black-to-white-to-black,
since it gives nicer numbers. The actual response time varies though across the contrast range of the display panel. In many cases it's substantially worse in dark areas of the picture.

The input lag is much longer and has to do with the TV buffering the picture in memory while it's being processed. This is necessary for things such as de-interlacing, but is often done for other features as well. TVs that have motion enhancement need to delay
the picture by at least one frame, sometimes several, since they're needed for reference in calculating new, intermediate frames. This can make the delay skyrocket.

This delay from buffering is far greater than the response time of the panel itself. The response time doesn't cause any perceiveable delay, but a long response time causes smearing in moving parts of the picture. A short response time is desireable to achieve
    a sharper picture during movement.

On top of this you get lag from the game itself as it needs to process the controller input, make gameplay calculations, and then render each new frame.

Unfortunately this TV doesn't appear to have a Game mode... this is such a pain in the @@@ lol

To quote the last link you posted:

"The pixel response time is often confused with the LCD input lag which adds another form of latency to pictures displayed by LCD screens."

It's impossible for a person to perceive a 4ms delay. So if you're talking about 8ms vs 4ms or even less, it's negligible and therefore doesn't impact the experience whatsoever.

Input lag on non-CRT displays is usually somewhere between 15-250ms depending post-processing options and the speed of the video processor. Fast displays optimized for speed will get into the 15-45ms range of input lag, which is very playable. Slower ones
will be in the 60-250ms range which is increasingly worse and can range from mildly to very noticeable.

Even with an 8ms response time the pixels will still be refreshing twice per frame with a 60Hz source. You won't be able to tell if it refreshes 4 times instead. You can choose to believe whatever you want, I'm just stating the facts.

Tessme did indeed get very worked up over and old thread and they are also very wrong. So much irony in their post.
