Need help (could be xbox elite controller issues)

when I turn on my Xbox a message pops up saying "sorry Quin sign in using a controller" (which is what I'm trying to do) and I try to launch the notification the screen goes black.it doesn't even get me to the main menu. I have an elite controller. If I
hold the middle button to turn my Xbox off, the option to turn my console off pops up, but I can't click on anything or even move the curser.

Elite version of Xbox Wireless Controller Tech Series?

Title says it all, will there be Elite versions of the Elite versions of Xbox Wireless Controller Tech Series?

Or I suppose I could ask will there be Tech series version of the Xbox one Elite controllers?

Starting to have issues with my current controllers and was researching buying a new controller, and I really like the look of the Tech series but would like the functionality of the elite series . . .

Problem with serial number !

i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

any help would be appreciated.

This happened to me when the console system software was still being tested in the "Insider Preview".

What corrected this behaviour was to "hard reset" the console two times.

Hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds, and after the console has shut down, unplug the power cord from the power supply.

Plug everything back together and start the console.

Since I had to do that two times, it might need a few tries to properly work again, so repeat these steps three or four times, if it doesn't work initially.

I can confirm that the Xbox Elite 2 controller has issues with conducting electricity through the paddles.

I am getting shocked as well.

The Xbox Elite 2 controller needs to be recalled immediately.

I now use the elite and have upgraded to elite 2 , and so far no issues. I use the controller every day with no issues.

I still have the controller fro when I bought the xbox . As said could be unlucky batch 🤔
