NEED HELP CONTROLLER WILL NOT CONNECT

Let start by stating this wouldnt be a problem if XBOX MADE THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE, but I want to play MW2 and cant. I had to dust off the old 360 and I did and now my controller wont connect. I've tried everything. I know to
press the connecting buttons, i know to try turning every electronic device off around me, i know, ive looked everywhere on the internet and everything says the same thing. Someone please tell me there is a secret to fixing this. The controller cant be broken
its fairly unused as I bought it right before I got my one. My older controller works and connects fine and it is beaten up. I cant use that cause of a sticky analog stick. Please for the love of God help me and do not say to buy a new one, as this was the
only advice xbox support would give me lol

Help needed

I'm not totally understanding this. Are you saying that someone on Live is pulling off some sort of hack on an account that's on your Xbox because of the IP and they're keeping you offline? Hell, I didn't even know they could do that.

Have you tried customer service? Or maybe even a ping test?

Backward compatibility starts with the permission of the original game developer/publisher. Activision will have to give their okay to Microsoft before it is released for backward compatibility.

Worst case: if you have exhausted all of the steps in the article and it still doesn't work, the controller will have to be replaced.

Thank you for your help, but i am trying to remove my controller from the entire xbox console, not from an account. Thanks for your help!

Go to your account settings here https://account.microsoft.com/family/ , add your child then you will be able to control what you want on his account.

When I go through that it says my controller isn’t register and to go through Microsoft devices and register it, which it is.

But the live chat then says it’s not in warranty, though I still got about a year left on it.

Then creating a form on Microsoft doesn’t let you select a shipping address as the website is bugged and says add new shipping address. When you enter a new address then press save it goes straight back to the same page saying add new shipping address.
