(Need Help) Console Companion Streaming Broken

You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.

I ran into the issues when setting up console streaming. You may need to adjust your Router's LAN settings to allow this connection. You'll need to access the router admin page (usually 192.168.0.1 or very similar)

I'd also try plugging in to a separate ethernet port, if possible.

if you don't have a console then how are you going to connect a console to the companion app in the first place. gold is only required on the console, if you connect via companion app to a console and stream to a pc that console will need gold to play online.

Unfortunately you cannot plug in the Xbox One into your laptop and use the laptop as a display. Also there is no app or program that would convert the HDMI port on your laptop to an input source rather than an output source.

Your only option would be to use the game streaming through the Xbox Console Companion app. I would re over these two support articles on how to improve streaming:
