Need help connecting my Samsung sound system!

Discus and support Need help connecting my Samsung sound system! in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have an xbox one, comcast cable box, samsung un55fh6200 tv and a samsung ht-j5500 sound system.     Need help connecting my Samsung sound system!


    I have an xbox one, comcast cable box, samsung un55fh6200 tv and a samsung ht-j5500 sound system.

    I can only get sound out of the left front speaker.

    I have xbox hdmi out to tv hdmi in

    comcast hdmi out to xbox hdmi in

    I run the hdmi out from the receiver to tv hdmi slot 2 and then i run the optical cable from the receiver to the tv.

    Only sound out of the left... am I missing something? Is my setup wrong?

    Connecting SPDIF (Optical cable) through PC SoundBlaster Z card

    Hi

    I had my sound running through my PC speakers by connecting the SBox ONE S through my soundcard with the Optical cable

    Sound Card is Sound Blaster Z

    PC configured to use Sound Blaster speakers as default

    XBox is connected to Samsung 4K Monitor by HDMI

    I dont know whether there was a console update etc but now I get no sound?

    Can find no help online

    So frustrating can anyone help

    Like dlCHIEF58 says, connecting Your Xbox One to the reciver with a Optical cable (Tos-link) is the suggested way to go..

    I did that with my Xbox One and the difference in sound was clearly noticeable and well Worth it.. But I did need to go into the display and sound settings and enable "Bitstream out" and bitstream format Dolby digital (on my Samsung reciver)for it to give
    surround sound... Most Surround sound systems will support Optical audio i belive..

    I have just received a new Samsung Horizon (since merger Ziggo/UPC) and have connected my Samsung TV and Sonos wireless sound system. I have both vision and sound but cannot get the Power On/Off to work either. It worked flawlessly with my former Humax receiver.

    I've got a Samsung LED 1080p tv and it's perfect for the Xbox and watching movies on. The only downside is that the sound is not all that good on Samsungs, so I have mine rigged up to a Samsung home cinema sound system which makes it sound Ace.

    Connecting to a home theatre

    HDMI does indeed carry an audio signal. If you run every thing through a reciever then all you need to do is connect to it via HDMI. You only need to use a separate cables if you are hooking the HDMI directly to the TV and still want your audio to come
    from a separate sound system. My system is currently hooked up with only HDMI. Xbox>Onkyo 7.1 receiver>Samsung HDTV. 2 HDMI cables. That is all.
