    Hello, I have a problem with the accessory warranty, a button on my controller is broken and the PID number is illegible (I have a picture), the console is still under warranty, how to do?

  2. Joystick issue with my controller

    All you need to do is go to devicesupport.microsoft.com and register your console, if you haven't already. Once registered, select your console then select "replace an accessory". you can then select controller and once you've entered the PID for it it will
    let you know if it is still in warranty or not. You can then continue and it will let you know the cost of the replacement if the warranty has expired. You'll then be able to print of a shipping label etc to send it to the service centre.

    Accessories are generally replaced rather than repaired.

    console keeps freezing when playing games online

    As stated in Microsoft's Manufacturer's warranty, by using your console or accessory you agree to their warranty agreement. The HDD counts as an accessory and is covered under the 90 day accessory warranty. I shall attempt to get another Ambassador to look
    at this thread and see if they have any other suggestions for you.

    If you are attempting to schedule a repair of your controller, I believe you can do it through the console's serial number (if it's the controller that came with the console). Set up a repair online, or ask Xbox Support (phone/chat) for more help. Please
    note that all controllers have a warranty of 90 days from purchase date.

    I tried to program the joystick repair via the serial number of the console, except that they ask me for the PID number that is then unreadable.

    Are you on for the 90 day warranty? The seller in store told me that the console handle was 1 year warranty and console 2 years.

    I'm unable to understand what is wrong with the PID of the accessory you are trying to replace.

    Can you try to enter this PID once more under the
    Request an Xbox Controller replacement
    article and see if you are provided with additional options?
