Need answer for xbox beta app

So i just sub to the 3 month access of xbox beta app,it let me download all the game free(not dlc included of course),and i want to ask if i buy a dlc of the game i play,could i use it,or i have to buy the game,the game i’m playing is metro exodus,and
i want to buy the new dlc:the colonel but i’m afraid that it would require me to buy the game if i want to use the dlc

Hi there,

you should be able to buy the DLC and play it with the game playable via Game pass.

Keep in mind that games can also be removed from Game pass, which would result in you owning the DLC but not being able to play it, since you don't have access to the main game.

Thanks for the update. We recommend to check the subscription for game pass. Make sure that it says Game pass for PC. Also, when getting the game you need to go through the beta app to install them. You can check out this thread on the

PC, you’ll need the beta version of the Xbox app. Go to App Store and download the beta version of Xbox

Are you using the Xbox Beta app to install Gears 5? You need to use the Xbox Beta app, not the Windows Store app.
