This is definitely something weird, this is like a urban legend coming to life like you said. Plus, if you won't give them your GT, you just did idiot, your gamertag shows up when you post a message on the thread. Sooo, hope you love being spammed on the
xbox, the rarest one ever. P.S. it is priceless, make sure you set a lock on it.

What puzzles me here is what advice is it you are asking for exactly? Also, why did you call support 3 times?

MS Rep:- "Hi! How may I help you today?

30 Something Machinist:- "My Xbox One keeps downloading free games..."

MS Rep:- "OK.... And you'd like me to look into this for you?"

30 Something Machinist:- "Errr... No, I just thought I'd tell you."

MS Rep:- "Thank you sir. Could I please take your Gamertag and Serial Number of the console?

30 Something Machinist:- "No"

I see why the OP is hiding their real gamertag. They're probably afraid that they'll get banned or charged for all the free games adding to their profile, which is understandable.

@thewrench01 - Please don't call people idiots. He's using a new gamertag than his usual one.

@SN1P3R SK33T - He obviously called to try and resolve the problem; again reluctant to give the gamertag or serial number because he thinks he might be punished for this.

Hey, GreyBasilisk936! It sounds like someone got the console, set it as their Home console, and returned it to GameStop shortly after. GameStop is an authorized refurbished seller for Xbox consoles, so they may have prepped it as a refurbished console and
didn't mark it as that. These consoles should also be coming with the plastic on them.

Since this isn't really a support issue, and you're looking to see if anyone else has ran into this, I suggest posting up in our

The only thing I can even remotely come up with is that it was purchased and sent back to Microsoft for whatever reason and they refurbed it and put it back out. I don't think this is the case as the manufacture date is close to the purchase date don't
think they would have had the time and besides the almighty Microsoft would have properly wiped it.

And I had to go through the whole setup process.......EVERYONE INCLUDING the people at Microsoft are stumped....I'm not making this up either...

It's also worth mentioning that when I was talking to the representative I was playing the legendary edition of Destiny that had downloaded and this stumped him as well. He said something about how I must have been one of the only people able to play due
to they were having major issues to the extent they had to put out a notice.
