Need advice on what monitor to buy for the Xbox One?

I have always used a TV with my Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Currently I am looking for a monitor to connect to my laptop (for work and dual-monitor stuff, mainly coding) and wondered if anyone could suggest a monitor for that and Xbox usage, primarily FPS games like Battlefield and GTA?

I don't do any PC gaming and I would like something that works with both scenarios.

I have looked at the Dell U2417HA which has an 8ms response time vs a BenQ with 1ms. But will I really notice the difference, especially with the Xbox?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hoping to get something this week during the Black Friday sales.

Xbox One X 4k Display on Monitor?

So I'm just confused as to what to buy now, I purchased that adaptor to try. The Monitor is fully capable of displaying 4k, I just need a way to get the Xbox to do that through the monitor. Specific tech recommendations are appreciated if any are known/viable.
More or less what do i need to get this putting out 4k the way it's suppose to on that monitor?

You wont notice the response time especially if you have been using a TV.

Only super twitchy pc gamers who play counterstrike and such are those ultra low latency monitors targeted at.

Hi,

In order to be able to use the Xbox One you will need to use an HDMI cable. If you have a DVI or VGA monitor, you'd need to get yourself a VGA to HDMI adapter, or DVI to HDMI adapter (depending on what type of monitor you own).

There aren't any sort of official wires available, at least not at this point in time. Depending on what your specific monitor uses, that's what you'd need to get as an adapter for the Xbox One to work with that specific monitor.

Also just for future knowledge what are the requirements to make a certain monitor compatible to a certain console?

What monitor are you looking at? Please provide the make and model.

If that model isn't sufficient please provide your budget for a monitor and I will do my best to recommend one that fits your needs. You can't just buy any monitor for the Series X as their specs do not necessarily apply to consoles.
