need a longer warranty

Dear Microsoft I just had the Best Experience talking with your support team ....Well not really ...I have been an Avid supporter of your products from the original x box then xbox 360 which I have owned two then now an xbox one which was purchased in January
of 2015 now it sits only able to watch hulu and net flix ...I remember talking to your support when I had the 360 red ring of death I had an warranty that covered it for two years.... no questions asked send it in and we will repairit free of charge. now I
feel cheated ...one year and six months later ...my optical drive goes out ...no warning no prior issues.. and the worst part is that I rarely played it . well I explained to the support lady whom was very courteous and never mean hearted ...that I would rather
buy a brand new Play Station than to pay 135.00 for a repair with a 90 day warranty...and I will never buy another Microsoft console if they no longer make quality consoles...its not me getting back at them for the warranty...I just want the kind of service
given to me when my first xbox 360 had issue's...but if I pay out of pocket this time and it then happens again...I would be a fool. to stay with Microsoft ...so here's your chance to earn a loyal customer back

Questions for anyone who Pre-Ordered at ToysRUs stores...

amazon is great but i need a extended warranty that lasts a bit longer, amazon only offers a 2 year warranty, plus im wanting to get it at a store.

 

Why do we Pay for replacements?

You get a year warranty so you do not have to pay. You can also purchase an extended warranty.

How long did you have the console? Things do not last forever and they sometimes need to be replaced. Do car companies give you free cars when they need to be replaced?

Sorry to hear about the disc drive issues. Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to help with getting the console repaired for free if it's outside of a warranty. There would be a charge to service it outside of any warranty and you might want to try setting
the console up for a repair online through the service center page
HERE.

In some cases, the prices are a little bit cheaper depending on the issue. You might find the price is a bit more manageable, please take a look.

Do they offer extended warranty at the Microsoft Store for the Xbox?

 

Yes. Microsoft DOES offer an extended warranty. HOWEVER, it does have to be purchased no later than 45 days after purchasing your xbox one system. So unless your purchased your xbox one less than 45 days ago then your system is no longer eligible to be covered
by the extended warranty.
