Need a Gamertag Change

Hi my name is Luke. Basically I need a gamertag change but I don't have enough money to do so. My gamertag includes my last name and for some reason my friends find this funny to take the p*ss out of (idiotic friends) I dont have enough money to change my
gamertag because I spent my funds on a headset and I dont get spending money often. I just need a GT change ASAP. Please help.

Right, I get that that's what you're saying, but I'm saying this is not possible, and that if you want a change you will need to, as everyone else does, pay the fee.

However, in the meantime, you should definitely block communications with anyone sending you such messages and use the built-in tools to report them for these (avoid, file player reviews). Do not engage them further.

The only way to change your Gamertag is to pay the fee for doing so.

The only 'free' change is if your Gamertag is offensive and the Enforcement Team takes action, but then you will be assigned a random Gamertag and have no control over what it is and if you want your own you still need to pay the fee for doing so.

 

Pretty sure you'll have to pay. Only other way is if your GT is offensive, then Microsoft randomly generates a name for you. Sorry.

 

I got told that the enforcement team could help me change it free of charge?

 

There is no free change just forced changes which give you a randomized names if you violated the terms of use

 

Just to clarify, the enforcement team issues forced name changes if they determine your gamertag violates the code of conduct. While it's not recommended to have your name in your gamertag, it's not a violation. So they would not issue a forced change. Even
if they do issue a change, they will issue a randomly generated tag and you would still have to pay to change it something you want.
